- Statements of Account - Using list cost information generated for our "cost-avoidance" calculation, and an ARL reporting metric, I created mechanism to provide instutions with a rough estimate of 1) the amount PASCAL spends per instituiton and 2) a standard method for estimating value. It probably understates value for smaller institutions since it is FTE based, but, especially in the aggregate, I think it presents a powerful statement. The statements were sent to library directors in August. The link here goes to a generic version with aggregated data.
- PASCAL’S Statewide Electronic Library for Higher Education This Webpage (with printable version) outlines the major operational PASCAL programs -- Electronic Resources and PASCAL Delivers and their benefits. It focuses on access to information, cost-effectiveness (especially of ER spending), and leveling the playing field. Provides cost-avoidance numbers over a five year period. Finance section has been updated to reflect FY 2008-9 cuts to budget. Was last revised 9/19/2008.
- Overview of PASCAL/SEL Electronic Resource Licensing ProgramThis webpage (with printable version provides a deeper-level analysis of the electronic resource licensing program as it existed in February 2008. Provides cost-avoidance data for FY 2007-8, examples of repurposing institutional funds, and also has a chart showing the increase in journal titles at selected institutions. It touts the excellence of our nursing package. Was created 2/1/2008.
- The PASCAL Story This Webpage (with printable version) provides a narrative history of PASCAL's development. It was written by Brent Lanford, recent USC graduate. Date is uncertain (Fall 2007?)
- New Electronic Resources for Nursing This PDF document was distributed to Deans of nursing schools and others to announce acquisition of ProQuest, OVID and EBSCO full-text nursing resources. It was created 3/3/2008
