This year (FY 2008-9), the legislature reduced funding for PASCAL's programs by 90% (more than $1.8 million). Many high value information resources that we have provided to all of South Carolina's students and faculty are being lost:

Rapid Delivery Services are being reduced -
Effective Monday, August 18, PASCAL Delivers service will be reduced from 5-days to 3-days per week.
This 40% reduction in service was made necessary due to the 90% reduction in state funding for PASCAL programs. At the present time, we will be able to maintain this scaled-back delivery schedule through June 30, 2009.

In July 2009, we will need to make far deeper cuts if funding is not restored.
