SCDC 2006 Print E-mail

On August 3, the "SCDC 2006" conference held at Department of Archives and History, brought together 70 librarians, archivists, curators, educators, broadcasters and others interested ininterested in digital cultural heritage

Digital Collections expert, Martin Kalfatovic (Head of the New Media Office and Preservation Services at the Smithsonian Institution Libraries) made the keynote address, and sessions on getting started, discovery tools, data longevity, and collaboration rounded out the day.  There were also planning and brainstorming sessions.

The presenters and sessions facilitators were Kate Boyd, USC Digital Collections Librarian; Courtney Danforth, PASCAL Digital Collections Coordinator; and

DebbieLee Landi, Furman University Special Collections Librarian and University Archivist.
