Visiting Patron Page Print E-mail

How it Works:

  • If you need a book and can get to a nearby library that owns it, you can get it TODAY instead of waiting for the courier.
  • You can WALK IN to any PASCAL member library and borrow up to 3 books for 3 weeks. These 3 items will count as part of the 25 books you can borrow with PASCAL Delivers.

What You Must Know:

  • Know the borrower identifier issued to you by your home library (which will be described in detail below).
  • Be in good standing at your institution's library. This includes (but is not limited to) current enrollment at your institution and no outstanding fines or overdue items.
  • Present a valid picture ID; school-issued student/faculty ID is preferred.
  • Some libraries have additional local security requirements.
Using the drop down boxes, select your home library and the library you plan to visit. This will tell you what you must take with you to check out a book and will also give you the other library's hours and building access information.

Lowcountry Graduate Center and University Center Greenville students should select the institution where they pay tuition.

Allen University, Anderson University, Claflin University, Clinton Junior College, Denmark Technical College, & Morris College patrons and visitors should continue to use the Statewide Borrowing card for borrowing and lending. These institutions are not yet included in PASCAL Delivers.

Currently, Benedict College, Coker College, Columbia International University, Erskine College, North Greenville University, Southern Wesleyan University and Voorhees College cannot use Visiting Patron to borrow from each other but may borrow from all other Visiting Patron libraries.
