The Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries (PASCAL) is pleased to announce a new affiliation with R.R. Donnelley, a provider of logistics, printing, and distribution services. Donnelley, a Fortune 200 company founded in 1864, will be delivering South Carolina’s academic library books throughout the state in a new initiative known as “Pascal Delivers.” Beginning with a web-based library catalog that merges all individual South Carolina academic libraries into one searchable catalog, Pascal Delivers will enable South Carolina’s higher education community to request books from anywhere in the state and have those books delivered to their home institution in a matter of days. Pascal Delivers leverages the substantial investment of South Carolina’s sixty academic libraries, making some 12 million volumes available to SC students, staff, and faculty at no cost to the individual. PASCAL Delivers is funded by the General Assembly as a part of the SC AcademicVirtual Library.
